Description
Formed by the star light reflecting and passing through vast clouds of dust, Sharpless-2 136 is known as the Ghost Nebula. Some 1200 light years away, the bright area in the center is 2 light years across. The dark area to the left of the image is an area that is condensing and likely forming stars.
